Trauma Healing Modalities
Yoga is inherently a healing modality and the one that our whole course is focused on. There are many modalities that have borrowed from yoga and yoga practitioners and therapists have borrowed from many of these modalities. One or more of these modalities may appeal to you personally and we encourage you to go deeper and study with the founders and originators of these techniques where possible and those who have made it their life's work to study these techniques. Remember it is an evolving field and we are all here with the best intentions for ourselves and those that we work with. Get to know some of the shoulders that we stand on to do our work in the world and keep making it a better, more accountable, accessible, inclusive practice. We are eternally grateful.
Before you dig in for a deep dive here, try chanting along with Deva Premal as she chants the long form of Gyatri Mantra - acknowledging all those who have come before us on a spiritual path so that we may be where we are on our path today.
