Course Outline

Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher Training

The first section of the course is about the course, the instructors and the parameters of the course. We share resources and a glossary that will help to read the course with ease and clarity. If you find words that should be included in the glossary or other resources we could add to this course pack do let us know and we will review and add if we feel it will keep this document a living breathing document and useful tool for yoga teachers, therapists and educators in the future.

The second section is about defining trauma, the scope of our practice and the wire frame of the kosha model of yoga therapy that the course is built upon. I have taken academic and creative liberty with the model - expanding it to include a subtle division between the Jananamaya and Vijnanamaya Koshas and adding in the awareness and work with Asmitamaya Kosha. I will say more in the lecture.

Most modules have a guest lecture - to see more about our guests - check out that section in each module.
