Overview
In this module we will explore the relationship of trauma to the annamaya kosha.
At the end of this section we should be able to define the following terms:
- shariras/sariras
- the casual body
- the subtle body
- the gross body
- interoception
- permissive language
- invitational language
- accessible language
- consent
Learning objectives:
- The meaning of trauma informed in our physical spaces.
- Explore Consent and language that is supportive of those who in or survived trauma.
- How to navigate trauma informed contact, adjustments, assists in our spaces.
Assignments:
- Attend live sessions and/or watch the videos
- Read/view the required Readings/videos
- Explore the suggested readings/videos where possible - or make notes on what to come back to when you have more time.

Discussion Prompts:
- How does Secondary Trauma affect you as a teacher/coach/therapist?
- Has a teacher, therapist, student/client triggered a re-traumatization for you? What could you or the other person have done differently to be more supportive and create space for each other?
- When entering a yoga class, how do you want to be accommodated in terms of the physical environment, physical touch, and the layout of the classroom?
